		<description>Having read a few of the Nightmares, that the lack of setting is a critical element. Since nightmares tend to be surreal, or to twist the normal, it helps  the reader identify with the narrator when the narrator is lost or at least unsure of her surroundings. Grounding the reader with something familiar would, I think, take a bit of the impact away.
